Have to step down at Alampetty checkpost, it's 10 kms before Marayur and on the way to Munnar from Coimbatore - Pollachi - Udumelpet. Reach before 2 if you want to stay near by the falls for the night else best to reach in the morning. Once reached the check post, check with the employees in the reception, it's 225 per person, 3 hours in total, 2 hours of trekking up and down and one hour in the falls, can't bath directly underneath the falls. Guide will be with you all this 3 hours, guide will be there even there is single person willing to trekk. There is 2 more treks available from the same check point to see dolmans and rock painting of old 6000-10000 back civilization with same 225 for each.
