WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is invoking the “ state secrets privilege ” in an apparent attempt to avoid answering a judge’s questions about its mistaken deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador.

The Trump administration invoked the state secrets privilege in the case of Kilmar Armando Ábrego García, a Maryland man erroneously deported to El Salvador, a judge's court filing revealed Wednesday.

It’s the second time in recent weeks that the Trump administration has invoked the state secrets privilege in order to frustrate judges’ demand for information.
