Apple Maps and Bing Maps are both joining Google by changing their Maps software and apps to now display Gulf of America on the body of water that's been known as the Gulf of Mexico since the 16th century.

The change comes weeks after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to officially change the gulf's name in the U.S. Geographic Names Information System. But it won't affect all users — here's what to know.
