Over 1,000 measles cases have been reported across the U.S., indicating that this year’s numbers could potentially surpass the current record in 2019 for the largest outbreak since the disease was declared eliminated in 2000,

There are more than 930 confirmed cases of measles across the U.S. as of Friday, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with a majority of the highly contagious illness present in Texas.
