A search for a man who allegedly stabbed a park ranger at Staunton State Park has been suspended. Investigators said they believe it was a targeted attack and there was no threat to the community. There was no word of an arrest.

At least one person was stabbed Tuesday at Staunton State Park in Jefferson County and the suspect is on the run. The number of people injured in the stabbing was not included in a social media post from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office that said the agency is on scene.
