In the latest installment of the Doom franchise, perfectly balanced action makes up for a lackluster soundtrack and a silly story.

The Dark Ages so good. While the previous game, DOOM Eternal, innovated by making the Doom Slayer more agile and nimble -- able to gracefully glide through the air before crashing down to earth -- The Dark Ages has decided to take a lot of that mobility away.
