Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary, is to seek to appeal the High Court ruling to shut down a migrant hotel in Essex.

Asylum seekers moved out of a hotel in Epping should not be put in other hotels, flats or house-shares, the Conservatives have said. It comes after the High Court granted a council a temporary injunction to block migrants from being housed at The Bell Hotel in Essex.

Epping Forest District Council in Essex was granted a temporary injunction by the High Court, blocking the town’s Bell Hotel from housing asylum seekers. This has the potential to explode into a major issue for the government.
