Chelsea fans might’ve been shocked to see Estêvão celebrate so passionately as Chelsea’s Club World Cup campaign was put at risk, but as the dust settled and Chelsea defeated Palmeiras, even they’ll say it was a terrific finish.

It was with a tear in his eye that Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira bid farewell to the teenager whom he described as “my son”, and although Willian Estevao could not stop Chelsea reaching the Club World Cup semi-finals he certainly made an impression against his new club.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer has said that Estevao Willian has got “amazing quality” as the Brazilian prepares to officially join the club. The Blues first struck a deal with Palmeiras to sign Estevao last year after agreeing an initial £29m fee that could rise above £50m with add-ons.
