Liftoff of the Falcon 9 rocket — named after the Millennium Falcon — occurred at 4:54 a.m. EDT on May 4th, 2025.

The Starlink 6-75 mission launched at 9:51 p.m. on May 1 from Cape Canaveral Launch Complex 40, sending 28 Starlink internet satellites to orbit. Starlink provides internet to some of the most remote places on Earth, including remote communities within the United States.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 which is a reusable two-stage rocket stood ready at Launch Complex 40 (LC-40), Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The mission, Starlink 6-74, marked the SpaceX’s 47th Falcon 9 flight of the year and aimed to expand it's growing low Earth orbit (LEO) internet constellation.
