Fire Weather Watch for Saturday amid dry and windy conditions
WASHINGTON (7News) — The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a fire weather watch for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Winds will be out of the southwest at 20 to 30 mph, with gusts near 40 mph. The combination of dry conditions, low humidity, and strong gusty winds may make conditions favorable for the rapid spread of fires.
A strong but dry cold front will bring gusty winds on Saturday, followed by cool high pressure for Sunday and Monday.
