Former Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) scored the endorsement of a police union that has backed a straight Republican statewide ticket for nearly fifteen years.
Glenn Youngkin is using the Virginia State Police to try to create a campaign issue for his lieutenant governor, Winsome Earle-Sears.
“The Commonwealth of Virginia’s fiscal position is as strong as it's ever been,” Youngkin said in his address to the joint money committees. Among positive signals was what he called the unprecedented amount collected by the state: “We collectively have run surplus after surplus after surplus, totaling $10 billion in excess revenue.”
