The Knicks are set to add a former NBA Sixth Man of the Year in free agency. Jordan Clarkson, the 2021 NBA Sixth Man with the Utah Jazz, will join the Knicks on the veteran’s minimum after clearing waivers with the Jazz, per ESPN. Clarkson is represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.

For the Knicks he likely will take the place of free agent Precious Achiuwa. At 6-8, 260-pounds, the 29-year-old Yabusele can serve as both a power forward and center as Achiuwa did last season. But Yabusele is a more dangerous threat from beyond the arc than Achiuwa, who has shot under 30% beyond the arc for three straight seasons.

Guerschon Yabusele, 29, who revived his career in the 2024 Olympics for France and then last season with the Sixers, agreed to a two-year deal Tuesday with the Knicks, a source confirmed. The contract is worth roughly $12 million with a player option in the second year, a source told The Post.
