A major blizzard is pounding the Northeast with heavy snow, damaging winds, and blizzard conditions on Monday, Feb. 23.
Gov. Maura Healey said there were nearly 300,000 power outages throughout the state and about 350 cars stuck on roadways, some with drivers still in them.
A "much lighter" snowfall is expected in Massachusetts on Wednesday, Feb. 25, according to the National Weather Service. The snow is expected to develop after midnight and last into at least mid-morning, before mixing with rain, NWS said. It may even fully change to rain at lower elevations.
