Hogan’s official cause of death is cited as “acute myocardial infarction” – which in layman’s terms means a heart attack – according to a cremation approval summary report from the medical examiner’s office in Pinellas County, Florida shared with CNN on Thursday.

The wrestling legend suffered an acute myocardial infarction before his death last week at the age of 71. He also had a history of leukemia CLL.

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, died July 24 of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, according to a copy of Hogan's cremation report obtained by ABC News through the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center.
