Noah Cameron became the first left-handed pitcher to take a no-hit bid into the seventh inning in his first big league appearance in 58 years, guiding the Kansas City Royals to a win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Even though he was 1,300 miles from home, Kansas City left-hander Noah Cameron was able to celebrate his first major league start — and his first victory — with family and friends.

The local 25-year-old southpaw threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball and collected the win in his major league debut.
