RALEIGH — While NC State has a bye week to recover from the ugly loss to No. 16 Notre Dame, the Wolfpack can't ignore its next opponent, the Pittsburgh Panthers. Pitt moved to 4-2 with an upset win over Florida State, but found its quarterback of the future more importantly.
The 18-year-old Heintschel, a true freshman, made his first career start for Pitt (1-1, 3-2 ACC) in place of redshirt sophomore Eli Holstein. Holstein was pulled after throwing two interceptions during last week's home loss against Louisville. Holstein saw fourth-quarter action on Saturday with the result already decided.

Pitt’s weekly two-deep depth chart, released every Monday around noon, is always interesting to observe but not worth putting too much stock into. To be sure, there can be interesting developments surrounding the Panthers’ personnel and who can be expected to see snaps.
