Boston College’s Ryan Leonard was selected as one of three Hobey Baker finalists, the organization announced on Thursday. The other finalists for the award, which goes to the top men’s college hockey player in the country, are Denver defenseman Zeev Buium and Michigan State forward Isaac Howard.

The Washington Capitals forward made his NHL debut in front of his Boston College teammates and his family during the team’s game against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.

Two days after wrapping up his career with the Boston College Eagles, Ryan Leonard will hit the ice for the Washington Capitals against the Bruins at TD Garden.
