Dangerous weekend weather spawned tornadoes, dust storms and wildfires that killed at least 39 people and destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses.

At least 37 people were reported dead over the weekend after storms and tornadoes wreaked havoc across multiple states. Reports of deaths related to the storm began on Friday, and dozens more were confirmed through the weekend, according to the Nationa Weather Service.

At least 36 people have died across seven states as powerful storm systems swept through the Midwest and South. The storms have left hundreds of thousands of customers without power, injured dozens in Arkansas and caused fatalities linked to wildfires in Oklahoma.
