The angler filmed himself catching the fish and uploaded the video to Instagram on Friday. The video shows the man filleting the cod to reveal its flesh, which is same shade of blue as the water.
Bottom fishing has been excellent out of Westport this spring. Ling cod and rockfish stocks are both healthy, and some recovering stocks have rebounded enough that some rules have been loosened.
