Tropical Storm Bertha became the second named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season July 20. As of July 21, Bertha is expected to remain a tropical storm as it moves slowly across the Gulf. Forecasters are predicting Bertha will strengthen slightly before gradually weakening later this week.

No direct impacts from TD2 are expected in South Florida, though "scattered showers" and storms will be possible this afternoon, according to the NWS.
