BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — This latest winter storm is far from the worst Western New York has seen — however, it’s still one that needs to be taken seriously as continuous snowfall presents challenges to crews trying to keep Buffalo’s roads clear.
Lake effect snow has been pummeling the Buffalo southtowns since moving southward across the metro area earlier Monday. Snow by the foot may result in part of the southtowns as a result.

SOUTH BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — People across Buffalo spent Monday digging out cars, sidewalks, and driveways following another round of snowfall. While most main roads are now clear, some side streets remain snow-covered and tricky to navigate.
