Mets Morning News: WS Game 3 marathon ends in Dodgers walk-off win
Freddie Freeman’s walk off home run in the 18th (yes, 1-8!) inning guided the Dodgers to a 6-5 win in Game 3 and a 2-1 World Series lead over the Blue Jays. Freeman got to live his recurring dream a second time as he hit another walk-off home run in a World Series game, matching his feat from Game 1 in last year’s Fall Classic.
Or maybe this is Game 5, since Game 3 went 18 innings. Shohei Ohtani goes up against Shane Bieber, and both teams are going to be needing their starters to go deep after the Jays pen had to throw 12+ innings yesterday and the Dodgers’ pen 13+ innings yesterday.
After the Dodgers improbable 18 inning win in Game 3, reliever Will Klein received a pat on the back from a Dodgers legend.
