Duke coach Jon Scheyer entered January seemingly grappling a bit with exactly how to bring out the best from his remade roster. He’s found answers as the fourth-ranked Blue Devils close the month in dominating fashion.

The 6-foot-8, 215-pound McDonald's All American maintained a positive outlook and admirable work ethic, though, and it all paid off in the second half of Duke's 83-52 victory over the Cardinals. He recorded a career-high 14 points, all coming in the second half to help ensure the Blue Devils sent Louisville on its way with a lopsided loss in tow.

Duke basketball has already reeled in commitments from four 2026 recruits: IMG Academy (Fla.) four-star center Maxime Meyer, Blair Academy (N.J.) five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr., Heritage High School (Texas) five-star small forward Bryson Howard, and St. Mary's Catholic High School (Ariz.) five-star power forward Cameron Williams.
