A soaking rain across the Midstate early this morning will move out well before the afternoon. Spotty showers will still be around at times the rest of the day, but many of us are going to find plenty of dry time.
Conditions don’t dry out much over the next week as a persistent pattern keeps moisture flowing into the Carolinas.
We have declared a First Alert Weather Days for today through Tuesday due to the possibility of localized flooding. A flood watch will go into effect at 10 a.m. and will last through 10 p.m. tomorrow.
An upper-level low moving out of Texas and Louisiana will bring moisture and lift to the region, increasing rain chances across the area. While this system isn’t expected to produce severe weather, you should prepare for scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the week.
Laredo has more than half of inch of rain and thunderstorms projected the next two days following a dry Memorial Day holiday.
