A powerful 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Nepals Sindhupalchowk district early Friday, shaking residents awake. The tremors were felt across the central and eastern regions, including Kathmandu, and extended to parts of India and Tibet.

The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center on its website stated that the epicentre lies at Sindhupalchowk district's Bhairavkunda at around 2:51 AM (Local Time).

Earthquake: Massive tremors were also felt in Patna and other regions in Bihar because of the earthquake. People in Patna shared videos on social media showing fans and rooms shaking due to the earthquake.

The earthquake occurred around 2.36 am in Nepal’s Bagmati Province, about 189 km north of Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
