The 115 District, like all North Carolina state legislative districts, has been redrawn by Republican legislators. The new version of the 115th will cover western, northern and northeastern Buncombe County.

Mayfield said she wants to continue to lead North Carolina into a "clean energy future" through mandated carbon reduction, such as in the bipartisan House Bill 951 that she helped pass, while also protecting low-income residents in the transition.
