Republican leaders agreed to accept a tighter limit on tax cuts’ size if spending reductions miss their target.

Republicans are moving closer to their goal of raising defense spending by at least $100 billion in the next decade as two budget resolutions paving the way for a massive bill that targets President Donald Trump’s domestic agenda advance in Congress.

The blueprint conflicts with a Senate budget resolution, which doesn't address taxes or the debt ceiling. It also includes less funding than the Senate's for immigration enforcement.
