Green crabs have invaded habitats. Sea otters might be the solution.While there are other animals in Elkhorn Slough that eat green crabs, such as sharks, rays, wading birds and larger crabs, green crabs only decreased when the otter population increased.
Set on 3,500 acres of wetlands, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve is home to an array of plant and animal life. The slough (pronounced "sloo") is a slim wetland with slowly moving freshwater.
