Taiwan’s Foxconn said on Monday it has launched its first large language model and plans to use the technology to improve manufacturing and supply chain management.

Foxconn, one of the largest electronics manufacturers, has trained its own AI model called 'FoxBrain' to drive manufacturing advancements.

The “FoxBrain” large language model was initially designed to support the contract electronics manufacturer’s in-house functions, including data analysis, reasoning and problem solving.

Foxconn, which assembles iPhones for Apple, and also produces Nvidia’s artificial intelligence servers, says the model is based on Meta’s Llama 3.1 architecture
