Footage taken on Friday afternoon showed reported tornadoes rip through parts of southern Michigan, heavily damaging retail stores, homes and scattering debris across neighborhoods.

Tornadoes and severe weather are tearing through much of the country tonight, from Texas to the Midwest.

The tornado, confirmed by trained weather spotters, was moving east and was capable of producing damaging winds and quarter-size hail.
