POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A woman is recovering in the hospital after she was reportedly bitten by an alligator at a nature preserve in Polk County. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) said they got word a woman who was kayaking at Tiger Creek Preserve in the Babson Park area was bitten on her elbow by an alligator.

A woman was bitten on the elbow by an alligator while she was boating in Florida, officials said. The woman was paddling at Tiger Creek Preserve in Polk County at the time of the incident on Monday, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said.
