FOXBOROUGH – DeMario Douglas looks different this offseason. As it turns out, he also feels different. Entering his third NFL season, the Patriots slot receiver took it upon himself to lead more in the classroom and on the field. Douglas has taken a more vocal role on the Patriots and said that’s helped him on the field.

DeMario Douglas led all pass-catchers with four receptions, trailed closely by running backs Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson who each had three. Douglas and Stefon Diggs are the only players to register multiple catches in both training camp practices. So far, in Maye’s eyes, it’s been those two and everyone else else.

Douglas is aware that the opportunity to work with McDaniels gives him the chance to take his game to another level.
