At least one person was taken to the hospital after police open fire on a suspect outside a North Hollywood home during a stabbing investigation.

LOS ANGELES - Two people are dead following a stabbing and officer-involved shooting in North Hollywood. LAPD officers responded to the 7800 block of Beck Avenue just before 1 p.m. Friday for reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Los Angeles police officers arrived at the 7800 block of Beck Avenue, near Stagg Street in North Hollywood, where they located a victim suffering from stab wounds, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said. Officers then made contact with a suspect and an officer-involved shooting occurred at 12:54 p.m.
