A Redford Township woman was shot and injured early Tuesday on Interstate 96 in Detroit, Michigan State Police said. Dispatchers received a call at about 12:15 a.m. reporting there was a gunshot victim at a McDonald's restaurant on Grand River Avenue near I-96, according to authorities.

A man shot a woman, critically injuring her, before fleeing into a nearby home and fatally shooting himself in Linden on Monday, authorities said. Police responded to the area of Carnegie Street and Monmouth Avenue at about 10:15 a.m., and found a woman with a gunshot wound on the sidewalk.
