A California man with reported ties to a violent Southern California street gang was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday by a federal judge in connection with his arrest a year ago in Little Rock by federal authorities on drug and gun charges.

The parents of a Catholic High teen who was killed in a Little Rock shooting has released a statement, along with officials from the teen’s school.

The Little Rock Police Department has made an arrest in connection to a deadly shooting that happened on Asher Avenue earlier this week.
