Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair are both set to play in Saturday's divisional playoff game at Kansas City, NFL Network reported.

Joe Mixon had a huge Wild Card playoff game for the Houston Texans against the Los Angeles Chargers — he ran for 106 yards and touchdown on 25 carries. But an ankle injury popped up this week, with reports that he practiced a bit on Wednesday and wasn’t on the field for Thursday’s walkthrough, per Texans Wire.

The do-it-all running back for Houston was a late addition to the injury report this week, clouding his status for the weekend matchup in Kansas City. The Texans already have dealt with plenty of issues at the receiver spot this season, only adding more to Mixon's plate.

Mixon has proven himself as a reliable workhorse in his first season as a Texan, totaling 245 carries, 1,016 yards, and 11 touchdowns. The Pro-Bowl running back has surpassed 100 rushing yards in eight games, including the playoffs, and earned his second Pro Bowl selection in his first year with the team.
