The New York Jets have completed an interview with Kansas City Chiefs assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi for their vacant GM gig.

Nagy was hired by the Chicago Bears in 2018 after serving as the Chiefs offensive coordinator under Andy Reid. Interestingly, the Jets tried to hire Nagy to be their offensive coordinator in 2017 under then head coach Todd Bowles, but Reid blocked the team’s request and kept him in Kansas City.

Over the last two seasons in Hill's absence, the Chiefs have made the shift to having a premiere defense in the NFL. Paired with Andy Reid's offense, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has transformed the unit into one of the NFL's most feared.

Much like the New England Patriots dynasty of the past, though, Kansas City's run isn't easily replicated. Few teams in the NFL have quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes on their roster. Fewer teams have someone like Andy Reid as their head coach. Even fewer have a top general manager like Brett Veach.
