Here's our first Guardians 2025 Opening Day roster projection of the spring — who makes it and who could be on the outside looking in?

Ramirez made the All-Star team again and finished in the Top 10 of American League MVP voting as the Guardians won the American League Central.

1. Start with something good … Gavin Williams looks terrific, fanning nine in 4 1/3 spring innings. I saw one of his outings on MLB Network. His fastball was in the high 90s. He threw more sharp curves and sliders. This was the Gavin Williams who was eye-popping when called up from the minors in 2023. Last year was a mess for him with injuries.

Guardians No. 1 overall pick Travis Bazzana, who is Australian, says he sold Big League Chew and sunflower seeds to fund his first trip to the U.S.

The Guardians and Mariners will play their regularly scheduled Cactus League game at 4 p.m. and the Spring Breakout showcase will follow at 8:05 p.m. Both games will air on CLEGuardians.tv with the prospects game also airing on MLB Network.

The Cleveland Guardians announced that outfield Chase DeLauter had surgery for a sports hernia Tuesday morning.

Larry Dolan, brother to Cablevision and HBO founder Charles Dolan and uncle to Knicks and Rangers owner James Dolan, died of natural causes.

Larry Dolan, who purchased Cleveland's baseball franchise in 2000 and whose family guided it through a name change, died at 94, the team announced.
