Not that it's possible, but even as a thought experiment the only outcome of California leaving the United States would be mayhem on both sides of the border. The economic hit would be enormous.

My first thought, not particularly original, was to leave the United States.. But then I realized I already have. I live in California. If you do, too, you might be hung over right about now.
