Certain voters in Georgia’s third-largest county who received their absentee ballots late will have their votes counted as long as their ballots were postmarked by Election Day and are received by Friday.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said some counties have not shared early voting results within an hour of polls closing, as is a requirement.

Georgia’s third-largest county is running late in mailing more than 3,000 absentee ballots to voters just a few days before the election.

Vote counting is underway in Georgia, one of the seven swing states Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump focused on ahead of Election Day.

Results are already pouring in across Georgia and the United States for the 2024 general election — with the most notable race being who will occupy the White House for the next four years, Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump.
