Chelsea part-owner Todd Boehly is looking to buy a slice of another English sports team — this time in cricket.

Todd Boehly, the chairman and co-owner of Chelsea, has bought a 49 per cent stake in The Hundred franchise Trent Rockets. The investment values Nottingham-based Rockets — which encompass the English county clubs of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire — at around £79million ($97.73m).

Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) ownership group have been beaten to a stake in The Hundred franchise Trent Rockets by Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has bought a minority stake in the Nottingham-based Hundred franchise Trent Rockets for almost £40 million.

The Raine Group, advised by Deloitte, has conducted the auction. Raine was involved in the sale of Chelsea to Boehly and his business partners, including Behdad Eghbali, in 2022 and facilitated INEOS's acquisition of a 25 per cent stake in United in late 2024.

Boehly’s latest acquisition builds on his already vast sporting portfolio, which includes Chelsea FC, French club RC Strasbourg, and the LA Dodgers baseball team
