Oct. 23—The 112-year-old mansion on Seventh Street in Las Vegas, New Mexico, wasn't for sale when Kitty Ballard first laid eyes on it, but that didn't stop her from trying to purchase the property.
The current owner and realtor of the early 20th-century mansion used a handwritten letter to convince the previous owner to let her purchase and restore the home.
