Specifically speaking, Recall will use local AI models built into Windows 11 on Copilot Plus PCs. At the backend, Recall will screenshot mostly everything users see or do on their computer.

For a start, sensitive Recall data is apparently stored in a plaintext database. Plus, Microsoft says Recall captures passwords, too, if the password field on a website doesn’t blank them out.

At this time, both Recall and Click to Do are only supported on Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs. However, the company plans to add support for Intel and AMD-powered Copilot Plus PCs soon.
