The 2025 NFL offseason is here. While the new league year technically doesn't begin until March 12, which is when signings and trades can become official, the franchise tag window has been open since mid-February.

A somewhat deep expected guard free agent class just got thinned out considerably. The Chiefs will keep Trey Smith off the market with a franchise tag, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Philadelphia Eagles' offseason will largely be remembered for one thing, and that's signing Saquon Barkley. That was crucial in the team winning Super Bowl LIX. Barkley didn't get the biggest contract among the Eagles' signings last year.
