Google has found itself back in the crosshairs of a geopolitical battle over President Trump’s renaming of the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, raising fresh questions over the role

Apple Maps, Bing Maps and Google Maps have all changed their Maps software and apps to now display Gulf of America on the body of water that's been known as the Gulf of Mexico since the 16th century.

Mexico says Google relabeled the entire gulf, including Mexican and Cuban maritime areas, but President Trump’s order applies only to the U.S. continental shelf.
