Los Angeles police have released video from the shooting of author Jillian Lauren, the wife of a Weezer band member, during a chaotic backyard confrontation that culminated in a volley of gunfire. Lauren's wounds were not life-threatening in the April 8 shooting in the northeast Los Angeles neighborhood of Eagle Rock,

Body-worn cameras show chaos and confusion in the moments leading up to the officer involved shooting of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner’s wife, Jillian Shriner.

In the body cam footage, officers could be heard yelling "Ma'am we're trying to help you," "Put the gun down," and "Come out with your hands up."
