Ohio’s Republican-controlled Senate approved legislation Wednesday to bar transgender students from using school restrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identity, sending the measure to Republican Gov.

The Ohio Senate voted 24-7 in favor of the ban, sending the measure to DeWine's desk for signature before it can become law.
