The Baldwin Park woman who allegedly shot at employees of a California Closets Monday before being killed by police during a South Gate traffic stop was an employee of the Huntington Beach store.

A Redford Township woman was shot and injured early Tuesday on Interstate 96 in Detroit, Michigan State Police said. Dispatchers received a call at about 12:15 a.m. reporting there was a gunshot victim at a McDonald's restaurant on Grand River Avenue near I-96, according to authorities.

Authorities said the call came in shortly before 5 p.m. about a shooting near North Miami Avenue and 31st Street.

Officers were sent to the 9500 block of Cass Avenue around 4:38 p.m. on a report of family trouble, according to the city police department. While en route, shots were fired at the site, investigators said.
