The M5 iPad Pro comes equipped with Apple’s new N1 wireless chip. N1 first debuted in the iPhone 17 line, and now it’s part of the high-end iPad Pro. Wi-Fi 7 support is enabled by N1, while the M4 iPad Pro was limited to Wi-Fi 6E. N1 also features Bluetooth 6 (up from 5.3) and Thread support.
Other upgrades include Apple’s C1X cellular modem with up to 50% faster cellular data performance and the N1 chip for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread connectivity. Additionally, the new iPad Pro has faster storage read and write speeds and faster charging of up to 50% in around 30 minutes.
