A search is underway at the Grand Canyon for a New Jersey man who went missing there early last week. Thomas Daniel Gibbs, 35 of Freehold, was last heard from around noon on July 22, according to a press release from the National Park Service.

A national park in southwest Colorado partially reopened Wednesday for the first time since a fire broke out earlier this month, while a fire at Grand Canyon National Park prompted more closures outside of the park.
